Whether those induced voltages are produced by lightning (directly or indirectly) or other static charge buildups, these suppressors are continuously active, constantly draining your transmission line to ground. All suppressors are designed with heavy duty toroidal discharge inductors to neutralize induced voltages on the antenna side of a central, high-voltage, blocking capacitor.
